Pros

Fast-paced and dynamic environment that pushes you to learn quickly

Cons

⁃ Company rolled out a permanent 3-day in-office policy, but no one actually supports it. My team is split across two offices, and leadership didn’t think through the reality of distributed teams. It feels like a top-down mandate with zero practical backing. ⁃ Management is not helpful and under-qualified. ⁃ Company prioritises short-term revenue growth over meaningful innovation, treating technical improvements as cosmetic rather than driving real impact.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re glad to hear you’ve found our environment to be a place that pushes you to learn quickly; we strive to maintain that sense of momentum even as we navigate growth. We appreciate your perspective on the 3-day in-office policy. Flo Health, as an employer, believes that in-person collaboration is a fundamental driver of our mission and high-performance culture. The three-day office model was not introduced overnight; our Engineering Managers have been operating this way for over a year. We worked through real execution challenges before extending this approach more broadly. Regarding innovation and technical direction: we operate with defined engineering, business, and product strategies that balance short-term delivery with longer-term investments. Some initiatives are incremental improvements, while others are multi-year foundational programs. Sustainable growth requires both. We know execution is not perfect everywhere, and we continue working with EMs to address structural issues as they arise. Retention and engineering quality matter deeply to us. We hope that your journey at Flo continues to be one of professional growth and meaningful impact.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are pleased to hear that the passion our designers have for their craft is evident in their work. We recognise the importance of balancing business goals with the user-centric experience that defines our mission. We also want to take this opportunity to address your concerns about representation. While our company was founded by men, Flo is majority female in it's total headcount, majority female in its management population, majority female in direct reports to the CEO, and at gender parity at the Board of Directors. We remain committed to ensuring that women’s voices continue to define the future of our product and our company. We appreciate the time you spent with us and wish you the very best in your future career.
