Pros
International outset is the biggest pro of the job.
Cons
- If you are in the local team, you need to deal with bunch of juniors and interns that tend to repeat memorized formulas, not knowing their job and not having wider perspective. Yet, you still need to obey. - Anything that is non-standard doesn't fit into the culture of the company. When working outside of the HQ you don't have any opportunities to make anything not fitting schemes. - It comes out that very often there is nobody that you can ask about something that is multi-department or seems for them to be non-standard. Often you are sent to dozen different people and still have no answer as the people either don't know the answer or are afraid to take responsibility. - Arrogance is something which describes most of the staff in the central team. Yet, if you dig deeper, it seems that they know something, but in very narrow area. - Communication is something that the company struggles with. On one hand they want to control all of the comms, on the other, they complain that there is too many mails and can't handle this. - You are only cog in the wheel. The way the company is managed doesn't leave any doubts. - The company is mean. And makes often stupid savings, spending a lot on the things that could be easily cut down.
