Pros
Truly fantastic people, smart, collaborative, supportive. Interesting and complex domain with aviation that keeps changing and stays fresh. Great place to work on real data problems with an international reach that is rare to work on. Lots of change is happening, which can be viewed as a great chance to join and be part of that change. It's likely a great chance for new talent to join the company and help shape it's next chapters.
Cons
If one is looking for something a little more sure-footed, or a place where roles/responsibilities are clear, or defined reliably, this isn't the place for you. The company is undergoing a great deal of change, and it's an unstable place to work in that way. For some that is great news so they can evolve with the company, for others, it's a major stress factor. Healthcare is incredibly poor in the US; it's not competitive with other rates, and the company has a casual and British attitude towards US healthcare issues which are complex and not great, but we need to be competitive with other companies nearby. The management team doesn't seem to be working well, it's a small company with lots of geographic spread, but its clearly uncoordinated and hard to understand what is important, or how things should be prioritized or funded. The most regular updates about our stock price seem to paint a picture that all that matters is short term wins, and no real long term plans seem to be there, or if they are, I don't know how we fit into them. We lack strong leadership to bring things together and steer the group towards our goals. With so many acquisitions, it feels painful how disconnected the group is.
