Pros
Lots of growth potential in a field where tech is just starting to come into the scene, great opportunity for improving an entire industry.
Cons
The peter principle is at play here - people have been promoted beyond the point where they're competent, merely because they're great at managing up. The leadership speaks in platitudes and takes no ownership of problems until they're too big to ignore and too difficult an issue to turn around. Then, instead of doing something themselves about it, they assign it to someone else to deal with, only to claim the credit later. Product and engineering direction changes quarterly and the roadmap is way too ambitious for the personnel that we have, even without the employee churn (there's a lot and more is coming). The entire situation results in eroded trust in leadership, who blithely go forward as though nothing is wrong. None of them are ever held accountable, either.
