Pros

Unfortunately only some of the employees are the positive side of the company.

Cons

The CEO (with management, if you can call 2 people a management) is very unprofessional and does not value employees at all. The CEO is micromanaging the work of everyone he can, and makes those employees unproductive in that way. Everyone who works there is afraid to go home after 8 working hours (not including the lunch break), so they would not be fired, and everyone seems to be working a lot of overtime without any compensation (every day from 9:00 until at least 18:30-19:00). Company is burning people extremely fast, and everyone seems to be underpaid and overloaded. Company calls itself a "startup", although they exist for more than 6 years, only so that people could be paid as little as possible under that excuse. Business side of the company does not really exist, and sales "department" (one guy) is not creating any profit, so the future is bleak. There is no strategy at all for everything that the company is doing, so nobody except for the CEO understands what and when is going to happen. A lot of people who are coming to work in the company for the short period of time are pushed by the "management" to give a good rating here, while still in trial period, so you should take all these positive ratings here with caution, because nobody will give lesser rating if they are expecting to get a job. Office is practically one bigger room without any aircon where approximately 15 people should work, and the office was never really cleaned. Company is also offering "accomodation" that is drastically below any standard in Germany, but as an employee you will not have to pay too much. At least until they decide to kick you out because there is some other worker from far away country coming for unpaid trial. Small advice for those who decide to try anyway: don't be tricked to spend your free time during the trial period with "management", but with other people in the company, and ask them if all this here is true.

Dear former employee, Our approach to software development is not suitable for everyone. We focus on maximising the productivity of individuals by giving them freedom, responsibility and challenges to overcome. This is the reason we have such a thorough recruitment process to identify candidates who will fit well within our organisation. Despite this, we still encounter individuals who during the probationary period, prove themselves unsuitable. As part of our recruitment trial, we also encourage candidates to spend their time with the other members of the company and verify the state of affairs outside of the management's perspective. The company offers temporary accommodation for onboarding purposes. New employees will stay variable amounts of time until they find their own places. We strive to the best of our abilities to provide a suitable environment and provide professional cleaning services amongst other benefits while the costs are below the market rate. Our method of organisation requires active and frequent communication which traditional working environments can misinterpret as a form of supervision. This is an essential aspect of agile and lean modern business methodology. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours and hope you will find a place suitable for your personality and talents. Kind regards, fleetster

Pros

Working here is a constant opportunity to grow. The tasks are challenging, and there’s always exposure to new technologies. You’re free to voice concerns, share ideas, and get direct support from your manager whenever needed. Bi-weekly sprint retrospectives allow everyone to reflect on the company’s workflow and structure. The international team, collaborative spirit, and approachable leadership make it easy to have a tangible impact on the product. The culture pushes you out of your comfort zone in a good way, demanding personal and professional growth. Work-life balance is highly valued; the firm actively stops you from working contracted hours, although you can if you choose to. Career development is, of course, an inevitability here; I have learned so much since I joined, and the firm has grown with me. The employees are great, and inter-departmental support is just an open hand away. The working environment is a great place to be and continues to improve. Feedback flows freely in all directions, and actual changes are made when they make sense.

Cons

If you prefer a low-stress, routine environment, this may not be your favorite. The workload is heavy, and problems are common.

Pros

- Skilled and collaborative development team - Supportive and open communication - Opportunities to learn and grow with challenging projects - Strong teamwork culture that values knowledge sharing - Most projects follow modern technologies and practices; legacy projects are in the process of being modernized or replaced - High emphasis on code quality - Advanced process for managing code changes

Cons

- Documentation for older projects can be limited - Sometimes the deadlines can be tight - High competence expectations can be challenging for newcomers - The product dates back to 2012 and has had numerous technical evolutions throughout the years. However, there are always older parts of the system that are not up to modern standards. Developers who plan to exclusively work on modern tech might find this discouraging
