Pros
Ownership is aloof, and largely absent from the office. This allows for more pleasant environment, and team alignment, and progression towards goals.
Cons
Owner is not the type of person you want to be associated with. Very sleazy dealings, and you dont feel like you are doing the right thing for anyone - customers, employees, and mostly yourself. Check your ethics at the door, in the industry they compete in, they are the bottom-dwellers and you will feel like that at industry events, or with prospective customers...suggest you research this ahead of time. Pay is substandard, bonus is often an unattainable goal (due to poor reputation and lacking sales) or just a lie. Worst career decision I’ve ever made, but on the plus side, I now appreciate everything so much more at real companies. Nepotism is the flavor of the day here. Turnover is heavy as well for most not tied due to other factors (h1, etc)
