We made an agreement with the Accommodation manager during my interview about my two weeks' holiday at the beginning of August. I know this is the peak time in every hotel, that's why I asked in advance. She said it was fine, so we booked our tickets to our home country. I was working there for 9 weeks and they didn't complain about my work. Today morning the manager said I shouldn't go to holiday because the hotel will be busy. I said we would lose too much money and we weren't at home for 4 years now. She said okay. She came back in the afternoon and said, she was not satisfied with my work and I am dismissed. If my work wasn't good enough why did she ask me to be there at the time of my booked holiday?! It shows clearly what was the real reason because she never even mentioned any problem with my work before. I have good references from my previous employers and no one said this to me before. I know I am not perfect but no one is. I have very high standards for cleanliness and always do my best. I think someone needed a job who they know and because I wasn't long time there, they just found a reason to fire me. It's so unfair and now I understand why is the high turnover of employees. Congratulation on this type of management and their sneaky way.
