Pros
Experience in a fast paced and ever changing environment. You learn to adapt and deal with ever changing goals and targets (if they are even defined) so it teaches you to think in about alternative options constantly and not focus on just one way to do things. Benefits are good once you are high enough in the org.
Cons
Poor pay, poor raises (no cost of living increases to keep up with the actual cost of living), poor leadership, poor support from leadership, poor adoption. Everything is an uphill battle to accomplish your tasks. You are treated as a replaceable resource and you are not valued unless you continuously produce. Once you do not produce at the same level as you normally do they look to replace you. The stress is not worth it if you have any issues with anxiety. No work/life balance.
