Pros
Good pay if you can sell and you are willing to work for it Many of the hired counselors and office staff are great people Good training program
Cons
Management starting with the sales managers is awful. If you do not like to be micromanaged, or if you like things done in a timely or efficient manner, this place is not for you. Managers brush you off with reassurance but do not follow through with action. Sales team is treated poorly and there is a mentality of "we are watching you" work atmosphere. It's discouraging. There is a hierarchy of people and the low-down sales people are not allowed to contact the higher ups unless you go through a manager. This is very inefficient and ridiculous when you have follow up questions. Managers need a MUCH better understanding of their product so they can properly answer questions from the customers and their counselors. Some also desperately need time management skills. Managers talk behind their teams backs but are nice to their face. This is a poor work environment. Management has extremely poor communication skills. The division president has an “open door policy” and “I’m here if you have questions” but it is absolutely not true. Sales team is vastly underappreciated. There is a fake sense of “rah rah, you guys are the best” but actions speak louder than words. Managers are all about saying they care but are too lazy to follow through with ever making anything better. The culture they preach is not true to what is actually practiced.
