Pros
- they will hire very junior engineers (however this comes with the cons listed below) - I made a genuine friend in my time there
Cons
- it’s a “face fits” type organisation, if you’re a yes man you’ll fit in perfectly - after covid restrictions were lifted team members were forced back into the office on a dictated “team day” every week and working from home days had to be booked in advance in an online calendar - clear they hire highly under qualified staff for roles so they could pay them less while expecting high quality and quantity of work - placed people in made up roles with very rough responsibilities and then fired them for poor performance - I can think of 22 people who left or were fired between early 2021 and early 2022 and there are only 20 employees listed on LinkedIn so I think that tells you a lot about the turn over - will hire junior engineers or apprentices, offer little to no support, put a huge workload on their shoulders and then crucify them when work is not delivered on time or is of a poor standard - unrealistic timelines and poorly managed projects so staff are expected to work all hours of the day and night to deliver at the end of a project - often disappointing and losing clients due to poor work practice, inability to meet deadlines and complete work - will take on work even when they don’t have the skillset in the team to complete it e.g taking on mobile app development tasks when no one in the team is skilled/trained in mobile development - forces team members to complete AWS qualifications as it helps boost their AWS status as a business, not in the interest of professional development - the managing director is condescending and teaches bad practice that is not accepted elsewhere in the industry - To dispute a few of the reviews left below: - “we are a family” is and always should be a massive red flag (it usually means they’re the furthest thing from it) - One of the reviewers here is in a relationship with a senior member of the team so I would take these reviews with a pinch of salt - The intern was the related to someone very close to the business and only stayed for around 4-6 weeks - They don’t use a great tech stack, their stack and processes are highly inconsistent across their portfolio and projects often mean unpicking poor code written by previous team members - The marketing review is highly inaccurate. It’s a massive clique and socialising is almost forced upon you. Even with all the leavers in 2021/22 the management don’t listen to and have no respect for employee suggestions. Pay is not good and HR often mentioned how little money the business had to increase pay. Bonus were promised but are based on ridiculous KPI’s that you have no hope of meeting
