Pros

Back in the day, this was a pioneering educational video publisher that was an industry leader and innovator. Known at the time as Films for the Humanities & Sciences, located near Princeton, NJ, we were blessed with some of the smartest, most creative people I've been around. You'd never get rich there and, being a small company, there wasn't much of a career ladder. But it was a collaborative, respectful, humane environment. The single best place I ever worked.

Cons

It doesn't exist any more. Sold in 2007 to Infobase Publishing and relocated to NYC, it is just an imprint now, with only a handful of employees from the original company. The culture there could not be any more different. If you are considering a position with Films Media Group, I strongly suggest you look up Infobase Publishing on this site before moving ahead.
