Pros
- Pay was decent. - Had a decent bonus structure plan. - Some strong folks worked there
Cons
- The CEO a narcissist who refuses to believe that he might be the reason why the company struggles. - The other leaders around the senior management team are afraid to speak frankly about what is right or wrong. Its a culture of fear. - You get hired with the idea to start at 8am, but then get shoved into 6 am meetings that you cannot miss. Don't try to leave at 4pm either, somebody will be there to make sure you are still working. - On a regular basis this company just fires whole teams without cause or notice. This has occurred a known 3 times in the last 2 years of business operation. - The people who run this company seem to think running a software company is like running a construction crew. - The leadership is extremely conservative and fail to understand that there is a reason why silicon valley companies are successful and its directly correlated to the more liberal side of the political spectrum. - This company seems to have constant drama and it creates an environment where you will struggle to trust your coworkers.. and to be clear, its not your coworkers fault at all. - They sell you over priced options as salary compensation. The company is not worth even close to what they think in those options.. You will be bag holding for years. - There is extreme technical debt. The reason is because half the work has begun multiple times and been left there. - The code base is quite possibly the ugliest code base I have ever seen. - There are huge security holes in the application but the CEO wants to sell it like its iron clad super safe. This is the level of his ability to be out of touch with what his staff know about what is going on.
