Pros
The company is a product of multiple acquisitions and as a result has very diverse culture. You get to work with wonderful people from different parts of the country. If you have set your mind to achieve something don't let early baffles discourage you, it's all part of learning process. If you are here just for a paycheck - get a job in one of the shared centers. If you are here for a career - start at the branch.
Cons
Ferguson has somewhat new corporate structure in the form of matrix with many functions taken from the branch level and moved to centralized locations. Yes, this saved some money but changed mentality from "we're all in the same boat" to "I got to cover my own a$$". Working 50hrs/week is definitely a con and a good way to save on labor costs.
