Pros

Very personable company with a decentralised structure allowing global operations and divisions the chance to maximise opportunities for the business. Middle to senior management are approachable. As a long serving employee I've found people throughout the company very understanding of personal circumstances and trying to get a reasonable work life balance.

Cons

Many sites have long serving employees which might limit the opportunities for promotion/career advancement.

Pros

Working at Fenner Precision Polymers provided strong opportunities for professional growth and increasing responsibility, particularly within operations and manufacturing leadership. The high-mix manufacturing environment creates complex and engaging operational challenges that help develop strong problem-solving and leadership skills. Employees have the opportunity to make meaningful operational impact, work closely with the shopfloor, and collaborate across engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance to improve processes and performance. The company also offers a stable environment where motivated individuals can build long careers while gaining hands-on experience driving practical continuous improvement.

Cons

One challenge at Fenner is the operational complexity that comes with a high-mix manufacturing environment, which can require constant prioritization and adjustment to manage changing schedules and customer demands. Additionally, like many organizations with multiple facilities, there can be variability in processes and systems between sites, requiring ongoing effort to standardize practices and improve alignment across operations.
