Pros
Promote from within culture The regular customers make it fun Bonus incentives if at management lvl Great office / clerical experience
Cons
All stores are understaffed. If someone calls out or quits guess who becomes responsible. No help is given to managers who obviously need help. Payroll is never enough. Training is done by a website..... When you feel like you weren't guided enough from web based training, you're given a procedure sheet to figure it out... Once you figure it out FedEx changes the procedure again and rollout five new processes. Then you get behind, andare chastised for not getting everything 100% correct because you're trying to do too much at once with an understaffed store. This becomes a vicious cycle and burns out everyone. FedEx needs to think of what they're trying to accomplish, at the expense of human beings. We cannot possibly operate at a 99.9% error margin day to day. You can only keep pushing your goals until they are no longer achievable. Corporate constantly makes DETRIMENTAL mistakes, like rolling out bad systems that don't work or telling us to print marketing materials that are incorrect, and SQI reporting the wrong numbers. But its all ok. They're protected in the big purple castle while were on the frontlines taking it all. And don't forget to never be sick, take vacation, or heaven forbid miss a metric. You will be garbage for the whole month if ya do! What happened to managing your own store the old fashioned way. Free of micromanagement and a sales based philosophy?
