Pros
Ability to work on projects outside of your department. International exposure to business processes and laws in different regions of the world. Great people who are committed to achieving the CEO's vision for UNIQLO.
Cons
The company has other brands that don't get the same focus or dedication as UNIQLO or Theory. Several processes are fractured and opportunities are missed because of the lack of cohesion. The people in the home office in Japan seem to be out of touch with the needs and goals of teams in the other regions face. And their antiquated need to have all senior leadership be in Japan is not helpful to people trying to future their careers within the company. Also the lack of opportunities for women, anyone over 35, and anyone who is not Japanese will force highly qualified people to seek opportunities elsewhere. The expectation for people to work an 8 1/2 hour day and then additional hours to attend meetings with Japanese resources but not requiring the same "dedication" from Japanese team members is also a con.
