Clothing and kids discounts decent, company may as well not bother with other discounts. Staff shopping days (if you even get permission/the chance to go while on the floor) Some social work functions. Leaving.
Cons
Boy is there a lot. Expected one on ones essentially non existent.. and if you do have them they are solely based on negativity and feedback is not constructive. No tolerance for sickness or mental health. I mean this. Being asked for a doctors note for 1 day sick leave after only having 2 sick days in 6 months, seems a bit of a joke. Having staff and managers talking about if you or another employee is really sick or not. Cosmetics department is over-competitive, leading to catty behaviour and gossiping. This behaviour isn’t stopped or controlled by management. Counter managers on high horses. Often had leave declined and shifts changed without notice (good luck trying to schedule your time on your days off) and being treated differently after saying no to covering a shift. No employment surveys. No action from management on serious issues in the workplace. Favouritism amongst employees. No parking for employees.
