Pros

Fannie Mae was a completely different place to work before Pulte. It definitely had a government workplace vibe, hard-working, and smart people but way more relaxed. The pay is decent and the 401(k) is generous.

Cons

Was laid off recently by automated email from workday manager didn’t even call me or email me. Had to call HR and ask what was going on a couple months before Pulte I remember Priscilla talking about “ DEI is part of the DNA of this company” and the day after pulte tweeted about killing the eye of Mae they sent out an email saying that people in that department were no longer with the company. That’s like saying McDonald’s DNA is their hamburgers and then one to eat later they’ve abandoned hamburgers. Obviously the DEI stuff is just corporate nonsense that nobody really believed anyway. I gotta hand it to Pulte, though he really followed through on what he said he was gonna do and he did it very quickly. In a few years, that place is gonna be run like an investment bank.

Pros

Great team and luckily for me great leadership in my direct line up to my SVP.

Cons

It’s horrifying how things have changed since Pulte took over. Layoffs, elimination of entire job categories but not the responsibilities of those jobs. It’s not just you work more because a teammate is gone, it’s do a completely different job while still doing you job plus all of your layed off coworkers job.
