flexible scheduling, supportive management, friendly atmosphere, great for learning, give a good opportunity to gain medical experience and see a variety of medical conditions
Cons
the start pay is very low in general but the pay is similar to other ems jobs, the equipment is older and shifts can go longer than scheduled regularly but not as bad as other ems companies
you get no respect and are treated like a bag boy at the local supermarket, even RN's and paramedics.
Cons
The pay sucks worked there for over three years. no real 911 response only IFT's, poor equipment and poor training for new hire's, they will put a brand new EMT-B's on nurse cars and with paramedics. they reward the people who brown nose the most and will try to get you to operate outside your protocols. I personally don't know why I worked there as long as I did?
