Pros
Co workers can be good sometimes, get to run decent calls with fire from time to time
Cons
There are so many to list, but the biggest issue i want to bring up is the lack of respect this company has for its emts. You are treating like you don’t matter and that if you ever speak up you will be written up. The posting while working 24 hour shifts will leave you sleep deprived because dispatch will keep you out your whole shift. I recently worked a 48 hour shift and only saw the station for about 4 hours in total. They keep you posting the entire night and have no remorse for it. Dispatch sits on some power trip high horse and will constantly be passive aggressive and condescending. They will go over air with obvious attitudes and be completely unprofessional. You can be up for 44 hours working a 48 hour shift and dispatch will cling to their policy even if its providing an unstable, unsafe and toxic work environment. While they get to enjoy their scheduled breaks and uninterrupted lunches we suffer our whole shift.
