Pros
- excellent experience overall for junior engineers - you get to work with really reputable clients - good on cv in the lebanese market - lunches are fun. You are going to make some great friends
Cons
Ohh where do i start... - they have a real problem when it comes to recruitment. You will have to deal with incompetent and passive aggressive colleagues(not all of them though) - personal stuff interfere in everything: promotions, annual reviews, salary raises, workload etc..) - there is no hierarchy whatsoever. You can be a senior engineer who gets paid less than a newly hired junior engineer WHO you are currently training( happened an awful lot of time) - most project managers are incompetent and passive aggressive. Also some of them really like to blame developers on their mistakes - the HR department is straight out useless. No matter how much you raise a certain problem to them nothing is going to be done about it(unless of course you are a close friend with the higher management) - being a hard worker barely matters - this is funny... But most junior engineers are much more knowledgeable and hard working than most senior engineers. - office drama at its best. - they don't care about employee's career progress - they try to integrate and include new technologies in their projects but it is rarely done. They usually ignore everything for the sake of finishing on a really harsh deadline( even your own sanity) - higher management never takes the advice of their senior engineers seriously. They are VERY stubborn. - forget about getting any decent amount of raise no matter how hard you work unless you come up with a counter offer( or of course again... You are a close friend with the HR department or the higher management)
