7yThanks for sharing your observations and thoughts. Our core values are our foundation here at the Bank. I’d love to say that every employee and leader gets it right 100% of the time, but that would be untrue. We realize that people make mistakes. Our approach is to discuss those issues, provide leadership and coaching and ultimately live our values well. I would encourage you – wherever you’re working at – to say something if you see situations that aren’t consistent with the company’s values. The Bank has several ways for employees or leaders to say something if they see something. I’d invite you to contact me directly, if you feel comfortable. My open door policy is the same whether you’re employed here or not.
While it’s true we use contractors and vendors to support our operations in short and long-term capacities, the number of contractors is far less than our 350 employees. It’s also important to note that contractors are not employees. Legally, that’s an important distinction. But, regardless of the terms of their contracts, we expect all of our contractors to respect and uphold our values.
Thanks for sharing your talent with the Bank. I wish you all of the best in your career.
