Pros
FDM Singapore provides a great training prior to getting interviews with any of the clients. This training is well-planned and equips individuals with skills that are sought after. The training includes VBA/SQL, Soft skills / Professional Awareness, Financial knowledge and track-specific training. Training spans for 2-4 months and an allowance is provided. The allowance is a unique one as prior to this, most trainings were conducted unpaid. The culture of the firm is young and fun. Diversity is brought onto the table as friendly consultants from around the world bring their experiences and cultures into the picture. FDM frequently organizes events for their consultants, this provides a platform for frequent networking and having fun. The region's clients are mainly investment banks and financial institutes. This adds values for individuals seeking to kickstart a career in the finance industry. Management looks to push for geographic expansion as well as local business development. This provides a greater number of opportunities for the consultants.
Cons
Despite its size and portfolio of clients, not many of my peers have heard of the firm. Prior to joining, there were many questions and uncertainty.
