Pros
Great benefits like health, life, dental insurance. Great pay if you are in a large facility like big airport or a center. Can have a wonderful job satisfaction when you help a pilot out of a tough and dangerous situation.
Cons
The bigger the facility, the more incompetent the management and lower the moral. Expect to work understaffed 6 days a week in a big facility. Expect your manager to have less experience than you. Expect to not be able to get promoted or progress your career due to a corrupt union and low staffing preventing your release. Expect the opposite of what makes sense when it comes to decisions made by management.
