Pros
Office: A lot of space, which is quite the opposite of companies that try to save every inch and force people to work in cramped environments. There are four computer screens—something I’ve never seen before, and I liked it. Electric height-adjustable desks, which I take for granted. Phone booths for private conversations, a great kitchen with fully stocked fridges, cold beer, pet-friendly environment, etc. Location: A quiet suburb with spacious parking and a quick commute for those who live nearby. Work: A startup-like atmosphere with opportunities to wear many hats and tackle interesting, challenging technical problems. It’s definitely not a boring place and offers potential for professional growth. You can choose to work in-office, hybrid, or remote. Positive and friendly people, supportive mentoring. A positive attitude toward mistakes (because people learn from them) is one of the best qualities here.
Cons
A spoiled part of me complains that it’s only three free lunches a week, and occasionally, they run out of beer. The compensation is competitive, though not exceptional.
