Pros
The best thing about working at ETS was the people. If that's one thing they got right was hiring in people who were just very cool, friendly and funny. Really enjoyed meeting my colleagues every day. Benefits were quite good - every other Friday we were allowed to take half a day off and we got 35 days (plus bank hols) holiday - although some people didn't know what to do with so much holiday! Got to work with some very large organisations.
Cons
Pretty much everything else was broken though.... Workload was ridiculous, it was fairly normal for people to be working over 60 hours a week on average. I saw people crying at their desks (and yes the men too) due to the amount of pressure and stress and there was little if any sympathy. They didn't pay for the overtime either - we got nothing for it except sometimes an email patting us on the back... Or some "kudos" in the weekly meeting... The directors were next to useless. They don't know how to manage people although the company itself makes it money from telling other companies how to manage theirs! Due to all of this the staff turnover there is shocking - very few people stay for more than two years. In the time I was there (just over a year) I saw over 20 people leave (willingly or unwillingly). For a company which has under 60 employees that's got to ring a few alarm bells. But the senior management turn a blind eye to it and think it's "normal"...
