Pros
Work/Life balance is decent as long as you don’t allow management to take advantage of you. Getting to know and support clients in your building is the only good part of the job.
Cons
I was a Community Manager for several years and invested a lot of time and loyalty into the company, and at the end of the day, they don’t care about you. The CEO and upper management are money hungry and will not invest any time or expense into things that actually matter at a center level to improve client and staff experience. They believe their way is the right way and are not open to any feedback or suggestions. Also, there is absolutely zero room for growth at this company. They will promote and then demote very quickly. They severely over work and under pay staff, they leave the weight of managing an entire building (and often multiple buildings) on one single person, and if you speak up, it falls on deaf ears. When community managers do voice frustrations, upper management will literally suggest that they be fired. I have heard those exact words. Bill, the CEO, is crass, only talks about revenue, and has made people feel uncomfortable during work events. Company funds are wildly mismanaged and there is zero effort made at improving company wide communication and employee moral. I loved so many of my coworkers, but it terms of upper management, this was the worst company I’ve ever worked for. Both myself and so many others were treated so terribly. I would stay far away from Expansive.
