Pros
You get to experience all the things that shouldn't happen in a workplace like an engineer paid twice as much as his manager because his sister is a director or directors belittling you in front of an open office because they think they're better than you. It's a good experience for the future, some say it builds character.
Cons
If you ever think you're being mistreated the worst thing you can do is go to HR and confide in them. Your manger will instantly be advised and a game plan set in place to get rid of you due to your disloyalty to excell. From that point on your manager will treat you as if you were something they stepped on and HR will support that manager in doing it. The ways you can be mistreated vary from department to department of you're in support you get shouted at for tiny mistakes when you were trained by the person leaving because they couldn't handle it anymore. If you're in internal sales and you dare defy the manager you'll be intimidated and shunned, sometimes by the whole team because loyalty is key there. If you work in mobiles you don't know who your manager really is since the business doesn't care about them. If you work in engineering it's just horrendous from beginning to end because you're all over the pledge doing things you were never told you'd do in the interview and is never the job you signed up for, the pressure is immense and I can't think of anyone who's happy. Excell board members don't care about anyone in that building, not even each other. I can't tell if it's better to be personally dumped on by them because at least that means they know who I am??
