Pros
The people. I wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for the fact that I work with so many great people day-to-day. They say misery loves company, and that reigns true here.
Cons
Upper management is so far out of touch. Working outside your job duties for no extra pay gets you a signed thank you card from all the managers. Most of whom never bothered, or even cared, to introduce themselves. Upper management has no idea how your job works. But they will quickly make blind decisions with IT/outside vendors that greatly impact your workload/workflow without even reaching out to first see HOW something works. Upper management has a very "f--- it, they'll figure it out" attitude. You will be denied promotions because "its just not in the budget", then upper management will turn around and refer to you as "the manager" to clients. There's no incentive for good work ethic and no disincentive for poor work ethic. Just don't do your job too well here. They'll only reward you with more responsibility, the same pay, and a thank you card.
