Pros

- Innovation: the most interesting things of startups. That's what I most love about the Exabyte. - Smart and talented colleagues: There are a lot of new things to learn when you work with top-ranked university graduates. - Multidisciplinary idea: high-performance computing, cloud computing, material science, web application, etc. all in one place. Is it not very cool?

Cons

I cannot think of any cons with Exabyte. The only thing I can think of is that what we do here is not easy, but the supportive culture and good training make it worthwhile.

Pros

- Career opportunites: good, it is an early-stage, interesting science based product and there is plenty of scope for innovation. - Compensation and Benefits: decent, maybe depending on your location

Cons

- long hours expected, the founder may ping outside work hours, weekends and very early or very late hours if something is urgent and needs immediate attention. Expect 60 hrs per week (10 hours per day, 6 days per week) - if you're in the office the founder may take control of your computer, even attaching his own keyboard and mouse, and help you, you will sit and watch - not clear what is expected, so what you deliver is rarely what is expected, but it must be completed asap - the founder will probably help you - high pressure - possible fluctuating pay and pay dates - general micro-management - scope creep

Thanks for the feedback. We regret having to part with you. Unfortunately we must prioritize team members that share our vision, are able to learn quickly and deliver on their promises. Otherwise, the management has to interfere and take over their tasks. We will work on optimizing our hiring process and making these points more clear in the future.
