Evonik is an excellent company to work for until you try promotions. The only ones to go up to the ladder are the Germans. They don’t pay as much as the competition nor the smaller company in the same field.

Evonik is an excellent company to work for until you try promotions. The only ones to go up to the ladder are the Germans. So if you work for the company for 10y and it better time to move up to upper management or superior, forget about it. They will have someone less qualified from Germany to get the position. Also, don’t try to get SDT because when you return to work it is a high possibility they they fired you. This is what happened to a colleague of mine. She was highly efficient , excellent professional, several languages, more than 10y in the company and they didn’t hesitate to kick her out due to the short term.
