Pros
Worked there for about 2 years. Definitely the hardest-working co-workers I've ever seen in any job I've ever had. So much so, that I always felt I couldn't keep up. Was great to learn the in and outs of all of this AV gear run events.
Cons
I found the job both too physically and mentally exhausting; I just couldn't keep up in the end. Working 12-16 hour days, 6 days a week often. I agree with others about work/life balance, I definitely need it. I'm a decent worker but definitely not the workaholic type. I felt there was too much of an expectation of working long hours and overtime. Not a unique issue for this company, I find it's a widespread "cultural" issue in the AV industry if nothing else. People who can stay in it are the workaholic type that just won't understand people that need to have time away from the workplace to do their own thing. I've realized that I can only really do A/V Casually as a Freelance/Hobbyist type activity and not a full time job so that I can do things at my own pace (ie shooting my own Youtube videos, casual photography, DJing, etc).
