Pros
Our culture supports a flexible and collaborative approach to work. Team members can work from anywhere and (as long as we have the phones covered) control their work schedule. As we grow, we look for opportunities for team members to grow. Many team members have learned new skills and expanded their roles since joining the team. We truly believe in continuous improvement. Team members regularly surface (and implement) ideas on how we can streamline or improve our approach. Our team members consistently rate ESI as a great place to work.
Cons
With everyone working virtually, we don't get to enjoy nearly as much face-to-face time as we would like. We use our messaging systems, regular CEO updates, team meetings, and regular Virtual Gatherings (all team members together on Zoom) to fill the void. We are well aware that there is much that we can do better. Rather than let this overwhelm us, we prioritize those that we believe are most important and set expectations according with what we agree is reasonable to achieve with existing resources.
