Pros
co-workers were mostly good, social life was great and there was always something to do. managers were very chill and tended not to micromanage. easy first job as gave good insight into responsibility while still being a blast
Cons
The centre was newly opened when i started so standards were very high, however as time has gone by the management have mostly given up with the new lifeguards who fail to do the bare minimum and the managers are too busy to constantly keep them in check. this seems common over centres in the area as well and it seems my starting was a fluke, most of my cohort have now moved on and its frustrating to be one of the only ones who are keeping the centre clean and sessions starting on time. upper management really couldnt care less about us meaning the pay was awful and we would have to jump through hoops just to get a second uniform or broken equipment this applied to the overall centre as well as nothing ever got fixed or replaced.
