Pros

Free gym membership that is all

Cons

I don’t even know where to start…..so many things so I’ll try to shorten. False promises of promotions and courses when you have your interview. Training is nil, it’s minimum wage. They are quick to fault you but hardly ever praise you. Expected to answer phones 100% of the time even when there’s only one person on shift and there’s a queue. Hygiene standards are disgusting. Legionaries in the sauna and showers, as well as drain flys and their larvae. Life guards are and other ground staff are treated like lower class staff and management seem to have an aloofness about them all the time. The shifts are crippling, you either start at 6am or 2pm and they have no problem making you work an late to an early shift back to back. Worked in a couple sites and it’s kind of all the same. There are some really good people that work there but they don’t stay as it crap. I stayed for 4 years as I’m not someone to jump ship but there’s only so much on can take. Everyone Active will run and wear you out. Take what you can from them and leave.

Pros

Large company with options to relocate around the country, if you wanted to. Very good with health and safety procedures, majority of processes ready to be implemented.

Cons

Very sales driven. Targets, KPIs and profits are prioritised over colleagues and members. Sales team expected to give up personal time on end of month. You're expected to check and respond to emails when you're off or on annual leave. The company is very clique, you don't really progress unless you know someone in a senior role. Salary is always advertised as 'competitive' however, the pay doesn't justify the work you're required to do, or the extra time you work without pay. It's frown upon to claim for time worked outside of your contracted hours. There is no such thing as work life balance: you're expected to work day all the time and not be paid for it.
