If you are 40+ years your longevity at the organization is in question unless you are closely connected to a member of the SMT. There is constant turnover at the highest levels, causing process and procedure instability. Certain functional leaders remain onboard despite not having great credentials or demonstrating critical thinking or people skills. There is little accountability overall and stock prices tell the true story. Weak leaders create weak results. I experienced the organization as it went downhill after 2020 and they have not truly corrected their course. Instead, they periodically elect to conduct layoffs as cost-cutting measures vs. growing topline profit and revenue. This means other departments are impacted and experience twice the workload to do the same job - hence why I left after this happened 4+ times in two years. It feels like you're expected to do far more work and wait for your pink slip despite thinly veiled assurances from mid-management.
