Pros

The international exposure and the possibility to work on a wide range of European regulatory matters can be interesting, especially if you have a strong passion for policy and the financial services sector. The work-life balance is generally manageable, with some flexibility depending on your team and manager.

Cons

There’s a general disillusionment among staff who feel that their skills and qualifications are undervalued, while ineffective management often gets rewarded. This creates a disconnected and demoralized workforce.

Pros

The standards benefits offered by EU Institutions, though the rights are not equal for everyone, everything depends on how HR grades you. You have higher chances to get employed and get promoted as an Italian.

Cons

There is lack of transparency from management and employees are offered limited opportunities for feedback. Two Departments have high turnover rates and difficulty to retain top talent due to a lack of competence and professionalism from the managers and to the toxic environment they create. Harassments cases are placed under the carpet and women were forced either to quit, move or were kicked out due to toxic managers which are retained based on favoritism.
