Pros
The company provides stable positions with reasonable pay. It is a large company with advancement opportunities for young professionals. The size of the company also can provide ample networking opportunities. Area managers are generally very good and hardworking.
Cons
The upper management for this company could not possibly be more disconnected with what actually goes on in the field. Major decisions are blindly made in corporate offices states away. Many times these decisions badly hurt day to day operations. While the area managers are good, they soon are driven from the company because of the bureaucratic nature of the decision making. It took about 6 months for me to figure out that even if I was offered advancement, I had no interest in making a career with this company.
