Pros

There are some amazing staff here.

Cons

For the last 8 months I have been one of the positive ones telling people that the restructures and changes will be for the better and a general promoter of the ceo, SMT and "one big team". I was so wrong. The new training and support structure is not working with trainers leaving and morale all over being low. How can one SMT have 3 direct reports and another over 20...how is that supportive and fair? And treating people with respect...the bullying culture and speaking to hard working people with disrespect and in a bullying nature still exists. The facade only work for so long and old habits have returned.  And then the CEO himself. The act of being a nice person and creating a new culture with solid values lasted for a limited period and seems like an act to get staff on side to paint the pretty picture to external stakeholders. It was easy to put on the act during lockdown but now staff are going back to the office, everyone can see how the old dog has gone back to his old tricks, accompanied by his other old dog. It's not OK to treat hardworking staff the way he does because he is the CEO and this leopard has not changed his spots. HR and the board need to take a hard look at old habits and behaviour returning as its already started. The rebranding and online courses we undergo have done nothing to change the awful culture and uncertainty some staff feel in their roles.

Pros

I joined in January 2024, and I have no regrets doing so. I have received good support from my colleagues in all aspects: help with familiarisation and also the opportunities to develop. Probably them most enjoyable aspect is that there is a genuine attitude to improving the teaching we deliver - the courseware and tools and techniques (and people with the right attitude). My team welcomed me and very quickly formed excellent team spirit. Despite working from home, there is frequent contact with management and colleagues; I don't feel isolated in anyway. I am getting opportunities to contribute towards the improvements and feel my experience is valued and listened to. To me: a great motivator. Communication with management is good: appropriate, timely and supportive. I have had NO regrets joining Estio, and I would recommend people to join us, given the opportunity.

Cons

None really - there was a company restructuring exercise that wasn't great and a little unsettling. However, I feel it was handled properly: my concerns were listened to and dealt with appropriately.
