Pros

Really enjoyed working on the national network for the carrier. Would have stayed if I could have worked remotely every other week or even once a month. Felt really good about the job we did. We made things happen in very tough circumstances. Benefits were better than the average US company.

Cons

- Worked a position that became 100% travel and 100% nights. Not the original position I took. Management never lets up on their people. Gone for two weeks on the road. Home for 48 hours then back on the road again. 365 days a year. If you don't like that. Don't take a travel position with ERIC.. - New grad hire working there after 5 years, still making below 50k per year with the responsibility of working on a National Carrier's core network. That was pretty sad. Those new grads (now seasoned veterans) were SHARP! - Felt like a high tech indentured servant. - HR department doesn't have a clue, or care, of how hard and long these guys work..HR goes home every afternoon and doesn't have a clue that people are working days and nights (regularly) while on the road. Hey HR, do you notice that the Integration team is quitting?

Pros

The company culture is great. Super flexible, remote work culture and tons of different areas or career paths to pivot into. International company with offices in 180 different countries. Loads of diversity.

Cons

Many teams can be international, so timezones will conflict a lot and make it much harder to work with people who are overseas as they are logging off as you are getting on. This also causes communication issues as sometimes there can be language barriers.

Pros

Get work with an excellent team on interesting problems related to network API's, and communication APIs.

Cons

Some of the products could be better. Internal tooling changes a lot. Sales team don't get enough support from Marketing.
