Pros
Epicor has an experienced sales team that encounters a wide variety of prospects, including manufacturing and distribution verticals. The volume of deals is high so there is always something to learn during each sales cycle. Training is typically in the form of shadowing existing pre-sales resources. Benefits, such as salaries, health care, paid time off, are competitive for a well known ERP company. The private equity firm that owns Epicor does invest a relatively high dollar amount back into the product for research and development.
Cons
The direction of the company is at times unclear since the company's owner is a private equity firm that at times seems focused a bit too much on profitability base on the publicly known actions taken over the past few years. The partner model is a relatively new concept for the company which can make these types of engagements challenging.
