Pros

Epic definitely fosters a community of smart people, most of the people I worked with were very quick learners and caught on quickly to any new material presented to them. Pay is super competitive They make it fairly easy to change Team Leads if you don't like the one you have. They have pretty great systems for feedback. I was actively encouraged to give both positive and negative feedback to others. Very much a meritocracy. If you work hard people will notice, and if you slack off they will notice too. You can set your own workload. Team Leads have endless work to hand out, so you can take as much as you want, but they won't force you to take on more than 40-45 hours.

Cons

Feedback can sometimes seem like it gets lost, especially when it comes to groups/committees that oversee company processes. You'll email them and then not hear back at all, sometimes they change and sometimes they don't. Your experience will largely be determined by your Team Lead. Great Team Leads will lead to a great experience, bad Team Leads will make you hate your life. Tech stack is pretty niche. They don't use any SQL, and only recently transitioned to a web-based stack. No RESTful API development, mostly RPC. Also use a proprietary web service, built on top of .NET Core.
