Pros

Campus is beautiful, food is good Pay and benefits are good. People are generally friendly, mentor was always willing to help out

Cons

Experience at the company is completely dependent on who your manager is. I did not click with mine and she was unable/unwilling to help when I was struggling. Unrealistically high expectations in regards to work volume. The ideal Epic employee has no life outside of work. Tried to get employees to return to campus before vaccine was released. Very "we don't care about our employees as people" vibe

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
