Pros

The culture at is fantastic. It is fun, fast paced, and their are arguably more learning opportunities available to you in house than any other company out there. Yes, you will work more than 40 hours a week. However, the exposure to knowledge, clients, career training, industry experience, and other resources are unmatched. Past colleagues and I both agree that this one of the very best places to start you career (and worth sticking around for long term if you are willing to live in Madison)

Cons

Epic is known for its "flat" management structure, which they promote internally and externally. That being said, those who excel move very quickly through the ranks of defined roles and management structures making long term career growth seem more challenging. I have heard that they are working on broadening their structure to accommodate more of a sense of upward mobility. Additionally, the restriction to live in Madison is limiting for those who have a desire to live elsewhere.
