Ability to work with instrumentation not frequently seen in a university setting. Often left to figure out what to do on your own without much direction, which can be frustrating but a great way to learn for some people.

Poor management and communication pipeline. Often left to figure out what to do on your own without much direction, which leads to poor productivity at times. Very little positive encouragement when things go right.
