Pros

Good location at strijp, Eindhoven

Cons

- Lots of promises about the future but no real work towards there - Not very open minded, didn’t feel very welcome - Multiple leaders have high expectations and cut the employers no slack. There’s a lot of pressure and tension. A lot of anger issues. It’s a very toxic work environment in general which causes a lot of mental health issues. When talking to HR their excuse was that this is a ‘teasing ant laughing’ environment. But it was often straight up bullying (in the public work chat). They didn’t handle this (well). - Raises depend on coworkers and everyones personal feedback. - Privacy issues: checking social media and browser history - Lots of interns that are expected to do full employers work.

Pros

- Lots of projects to work on at the same time, and lots of experience to get as an intern. VR. AR. Mobile. Custom controllers. Full responsibility for developing many different features and working alongside the regular developers at full capacity. You will have a worthy portfolio after interning here - Good location next to train station, in a creative hub area - Mostly no crunch policy - Great Unreal Engine knowledge, code standards and Blueprinting skills from the current team

Cons

- Project manager that frequently has anger outbursts and yells at people off the top of his lungs (yes, in front of everyone), expects developers to be robots, and overall provides a toxic work environment. Peers (both interns and regular developers) were often stressed, scared to go to work, scared to make a mistake, scared to ask questions deemed dumb by the manager, scared to crack a joke, and the atmosphere was killing. From discussions I had with several employees some were developing serious mental problems/anxiety working here. I cannot stress enough how unhealthy this work environment was and how happy some of us were to get out. This should be a major red flag for any company, let alone a small startup team - Young team consisting mostly of interns and recent graduates. Although their technical skills are relatively good there are no "real" experienced people to learn from - Interns are expected to work at full developer pace right away and will get yelled at or scored bad on reviews if doing otherwise. Poor guidance/mentoring
