Strong workforce, but leadership culture limits the company’s potential - Quality Supervisor Enflite Employee Review

Pros

The strongest part of this company is the workforce. There are many talented technicians, operators, and engineers who genuinely care about doing good work and supporting each other. If you are early in your career, you will likely gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities quickly because employees are frequently asked to fill multiple roles. For that reason, it can serve as a stepping stone where you gain experience that will make you more competitive elsewhere.

Cons

In my experience, the primary challenges at this company stem from leadership approach and compensation structure. Decision-making often appeared to be driven more by personal judgment than by objective data. In an FAA/AS9100 environment where consistency and measurable standards should guide decisions, this created ongoing tension for employees responsible for maintaining quality and compliance. Compensation also appears significantly below market relative to the level of responsibility expected. During my time there I earned approximately $65k annually while performing duties consistent with a Quality Supervisor, Supplier Quality Engineer, and Quality Engineer simultaneously. In a regulated aerospace environment, that scope of work would typically command considerably higher compensation across the industry. This dynamic seems to contribute to a noticeable retention issue. Many capable employees appeared to view the company as a temporary stop rather than a long-term career destination. During my time there, it was common for coworkers to be actively exploring opportunities elsewhere due to pay and leadership concerns. The culture from the top down also tends to rely heavily on pressure rather than collaboration. Employees often become cautious about speaking openly or challenging decisions because leadership responses can feel unpredictable. My own departure reinforced that perception. After submitting a professional two-week notice for a better opportunity, I was escorted out the following day. While that is certainly within a company’s rights, the situation was later communicated internally in a way that implied serious issues and employees were instructed not to communicate with me during work hours. For a routine resignation, this handling felt unnecessarily dramatic and reflective of the broader culture. For prospective employees: If you are considering a role here, I would strongly recommend asking detailed questions during the interview process about compensation ranges, role scope, turnover within the department, and how leadership evaluates performance. Based on my experience, having clear expectations in those areas upfront will help you make a more informed decision.
