Cons
The environment is not set up for you to succeed. Depending on the team, the manager runs the team with little breathing room, constantly asking for status updates after a couple of hours of work. Daily meetings can be dreadfully long, wasting valuable time that could have been spent doing work, which leaves a small window of time before your manager impromptu calls you at random times of the day.
Clients are incredibly difficult to deal with, having you interface with outgoing contractors who will fight you at every step of the way to making any meaningful progress. It is pulling teeth to get any cooperation, being misdirected, and heavily scrutinizing you to standards they don't even hold for themselves.
Do not expect to be productive here, you will run through so many layers of red tape before you lose all motivation to make any impact.
