Pros
Company has flexible scheduling for per diem staff. Step up reward program is awesome. Pay is about average or better for aides in our area. You won't ever get fired because they are desperate for people. Benefits are better than other hospitals around. Shift differential for evenings/nights/weekends.
Cons
The patients constantly ring the call bells. Staffing ratios are ridiculous. High stress environment. They are constantly asking for you to come in. Aides have to shower patients every other day. High nursing turnover. In the maximum of one year I have been here we have lost over 7 aides and multiple agency aides. Patient assignments are all over the place, you don't know if you are, as a nurses aide, going to have 6 patients or 26.
