Pros
When I applied for an Account Coordinator position, I went through a 3-phase interview process. At first this seemed a little excessive, but after being with the company for a few months, it was clear that our CEO only wants the best of the best to represent his company—the team members are badasses! Speaking of our CEO, you won't find someone who is just as invested in his employees as he is his business. Not only do I get to work remotely, but the working hours are really flexible. We have weekly team meetings and trainings to keep us at the top of our game and we aren't expected to work Friday-Sunday. I love that I get to work with a diverse range of clients and that all the team members bring something different to the table—social media experts, professional writers, marketing directors, and graphic designers to name a few.
Cons
I personally strive in an environment where no 2 days are the same, so I can see why someone who needs structure and routine in their everyday life would struggle with this position. Like any job, you're going to come across a few bumps in the road, but the team members and management are focused on helping us get over them together. All AC's are contracted positions, so the pay is based on hourly work—it's not the most consistent paycheck, but the flexibility of the position make-up for that.
